If you are a Ciara fan who's looking forward to her 'Basic Instinct' album, then we've got some bad news. As I'm sure most of you well know Ciara's album was pushed up from August 24th to August 17th. In her own words Ciara said: "With the success of 'Ride' we've decided to push the album up a week early." Yesterday, the album was push backed to September 5th. And now it's being confirmed as being pushed back for the third time to October 5th.
This could not have come at a worse time. To start, Ciara has had absolutely no promotion or hype about her album to start with outside the blogworld. And with August 17th having no big competition from other releases, she was set to at least get a #1 album. Her lead single is already losing spins on Urban radio, faster than expected. Ciara is expected to talk about the album pushback on ustream, tomorrow.
Any hype or anticipation I had for the album has just gone completely out the window. I expect more songs to leak, and for this to be 'Fantasy Ride' ALL over again.

UPDATE: Ciara has officially 'postponed' her ustream in which she said she had big news to announce. The 'Basic Instinct' Era just gets worse and worse with each passing day. As of now her reason for canceling the ustream was because she's working on "something big." But my question is didn't you know you'd be working on something when you announced this ustream nearly a week ago? The excuses just don't stop with Ciara.
