Rihanna To Rerelease 'Rated R'

Amidst hundreds of reports about Rihanna's "5th album", it has come to the light that Rihanna will be rereleasing her fourth studio album, "Rated R". According to Japan Amazon and other reliable import sites, the disc is set to be added with 2-3 new songs just like her previous effort. It is scheduled to be imported September 28th. So with this news we can expect a new single from Rihanna, probably early August.

Personally, I think this is a great idea. If they want Rated R to win awards for its critical acclaim, then releasing a new album would totally take the focus off the album. Also, a Reloaded can push the album to at least 5 million albums worldwide, bringing Rihanna to about 20 million albums sold at age 22. The best time for her to release a new album, would be about a year after her tour ends. She should take the time off to do movies, fashion lines, fragrances, and endorsements. What do YOU think?

  1. Agree totally about the endorsements. She needs to get MANY more if she wants to roll with the likes of the Trinity. Not sure about the 5 mill selling thing - RR only just passed the 2 million SOLD mark, so 3 mill for a rerelease is pushing it. She COULD sell another mill copies if they release the right single.
